Job Description

The Project Manager will manage the Civil Structural an Architectural aspects of the project and assist and support the Senior Project Manager /PIC in the project implementation. Create smart and innovative ideas when working on project management and implementation. To be focused in terms of quality, cost and delivery. Ensure that the best design ideas are achieved by doing relevant research and by closely analyzing the client’s design brief and requirements. Engage good and convincing presentation materials which display fully the project management ideas for effective communication with the clients.

Oversee and manage the conceptual designs, design development, contract documentation, authority submissions and pre-consultations, contract administration, site meetings and project meetings. You will be pro-active and do all necessary pre-consultations with Clients and all relevant Authorities early to avoid abortive works. You will be mindful of authority submissions status, project schedule and manpower allocation so that the project schedule and budget are maintained and be always timely and pro-active in handling and replying to clients’ requests.

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding and experience of Project Management processes. Must have experience with large non- residential projects. Must have previous experience in a similar role working on industrial, hospitals, or data centre projects. Candidates are preferred to have new build construction management processes or fit out experience. Must have at least 10 years’ experience in relevant construction projects.

Experience in logistics management and construction process is required, as well as management of schedules for projects that are time critical. Must have experience in health and safety, quality, and risk management. Must have a good understanding of design and processes.

Candidates need to have a comprehensive understanding of Malaysia codes, best practices, and respective building code guideline. Stakeholder Management experience is essential and must have experience in fast-track projects within Malaysia. Must have knowledge or experience in managing project implementation plans and have a thorough understanding of technical interface for large-scale construction, Design, Programme and Budget Control.

Will ideally have experience liaising with international teams across Asia. Previous experience in client or consultancy project management is preferred. Must be conversant in both English & Malay.
