Job Description
The Piping Design Coordinator will be responsible for the interface between their subsidiary design office located in Europe and Asia. Coordinate the piping network on a ship in accordance with standard practices. Gather all the specifications and technical constraints of the project in terms of networks (ventilation, piping, fluids, etc.) expressed by the Basic Design office and submit to the subcontractor.
Retrieve the schematic produced, ensuring the conformity of the realization compared with demand. Operate and manage the Cadmatic 3D model. Check the right implementation of the production networks. Ensure standard practices requirements of the classification society are complied with. Ensure compliance of all data suppliers for all equipment before integration. Manage the changes end evolutions in the 3D model.
Education and Experience
The successful candidate must have initial Pipefitter training. Must have significant experience in piping and design office. Must be capable in setting boundaries and supervising the work of subcontractors. Ability to explain and argue to give clear instructions is needed and must have great knowledge of ship environment. Must have knowledge about the document management system. Must know AutoCAD and Cadmatic, and must have excellent English communication skills.
