Job Description
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all cost-related aspects of construction projects, ensuring financial control and budget adherence. This role involves preparing accurate cost estimates and bills of quantities, overseeing tendering processes, and evaluating tender documents.
The successful candidate will monitor project expenditures, assess variations, and implement cost-control strategies to optimise financial performance. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring that financial objectives align with overall project goals. Additionally, they will be responsible for providing detailed financial reports and forecasts to support decision-making.
Education and Experience
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry. A strong understanding of construction contracts, methods, and materials is essential.
Proficiency in industry-relevant software, such as CostX and AutoCAD, is required. The candidate should have excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
