Job Description
This role provides the opportunity to lead a dynamic and culturally diverse team, managing complex projects while contributing to business growth. As an Associate Cost Manager, you will oversee key client accounts, fostering strong relationships built on trust and partnership. You will be responsible for managing project costs, negotiating contracts, and ensuring deliverables meet performance targets.
The role also involves identifying new business opportunities, securing repeat projects, and playing an active role in shaping the company’s strategic direction. In addition, you will lead and mentor a team, ensuring high-quality project delivery and professional growth for your colleagues. Your expertise in cost management will be essential in driving efficiency, optimizing value, and maintaining the highest standards in client service.
Education and Experience
Candidates should have a degree in cost management, quantity surveying, or a related field, with at least eight years of experience in construction cost management. A background in pre- and post-contract cost management, particularly within high-tech sectors such as data centers, is highly desirable. Chartered status with RICS is preferred. Strong stakeholder management skills, contract negotiation experience, and the ability to confidently lead client meetings are essential.
The role requires excellent communication, leadership, and business development skills, with a focus on building lasting client relationships and delivering exceptional project outcomes.
