Job Description

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will handle post contract activities of the project.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Handling interim payments request and submitting it to the Manager for approval. Preparing monthly cost reports for the Manager’s review. Assessing and coordinating claims with the Engineer regarding financial aspects. Evaluating and negotiating variations with contractors.

Conducting on-site material assessments. Providing payment recommendations for professional services subject to Manager approval. Drafting non-contractual correspondence for Manager endorsement. Preparing project final account for Manager approval.

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate must hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering. With a minimum of 10 years’ experience, including at least 5 years in the Middle East, and have experience working within a team or manage their own projects. Must have successfully handled post-contract services for complex projects and have expertise in various asset types. Experience assisting multiple and more senior members is highly advantageous. Must have MRICS qualification and a deep understanding of construction and local contracts (FIDIC).
