Job Description
The Commercial Manager will have overall responsibility for the contractual / commercial performance of the project, including pre-contract commercial work, claims and overseeing post contract activities. They will manage the commercial activities to ensure effective and timely financial reporting providing consistent transparent and reliable financial information.
They will maintain and evolve the necessary policies and procedures to effectively manage commercial and contractual risk. They will establish and drive the commercial strategy for the projects, setting clear targets for the project staff. In addition the candidate will set the strategy for claims preparation and recovery when that becomes necessary.
Education and Experience
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader and negotiator, commercial and financially astute with a proven track record within the Energy and Oil and Gas sectors in senior commercial management. Preference will be given for candidates with Oil and Gas experience within Australia.
