On behalf of our client, an established Australian consultancy firm based in Brisbane we are seeking an experienced and qualified Professional Quantity Surveyor who is looking to advance their career by taking a leadership role in this niche consultancy, working for clients who are developing projects in the commercial, education and health spaces.
Job Description
With support from the company’s Directors, you will be expected to take a lead role within a team environment and to focus on managing clients whilst being responsible for providing a wide range of PQS services, from procurement, through contract administration to final account. This position has excellent prospects with the ability to lead a team and rapid progress to management level.
This Professional Quantity Surveyor role requires the successful applicant to demonstrate experience in developing and maintaining excellent client relationships, as well as being able to deliver accurate and timely cost advice from the early onset of the project through to completion. You will be confident in meetings in representing your clients’ interests and be ultimately responsible for the delivery of a range of services provided by the team. Diligent and hardworking you will set the bar for more junior staff in terms of delivery and quality of reporting.
Education and Experience
The ideal candidate must hold a BSc degree in wither Quantity Surveying or Construction Management and will have at least AIQS or RICS membership. Can demonstrate previous experience in a PQS role in at least one of the following project types: commercial, education and health. Have experienced of using Cost X and/or Procore.
The candidate must be currently living in Australia or due to arrive within the next month and have the right to work in Brisbane, Queensland.
