Job Description
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Obtain quotations for subcontracts and materials required for direct works by preparing bid packages that include drawings, technical specifications, etc., to ensure accurate project specifications. Establish procedures for the implementation, control, monitoring, and payments to subcontractors. Measure and check all work carried out under the contract, preparing detailed and accurate applications for monthly payments.
Implement variation procedures in line with contract requirements, ensuring all variations are accurately estimated, authorized, and processed with relevant supporting documentation. Maintain constant contact with the project team to ensure effective communication and workflow.
Education and Experience
The ideal candidate must hold a BSc in Quantity Surveying. They must have approx. 5 years’ experience in the cost and commercial industry and have worked for a RICS accredited consultancy internationally. It is expected that you will have completed your RICS qualification but if you can demonstrate that you are close to completion, this may be considered.
