Job Description

The Project Director will be responsible for:

Providing strategic leadership and oversight for the entire project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded while maintaining strong, positive relationships. Lead, mentor, and manage the project team, ensuring that all roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and team members are performing efficiently. Oversee budgeting and financial management of the project, ensuring all expenditures align with the approved budget while identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Develop and manage detailed project timelines, ensuring the project is delivered on time by monitoring progress, identifying delays, and making necessary adjustments. Oversee construction activities to ensure they meet design specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, including managing contractors and vendors. Identify potential risks to the project and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions. Ensure that all project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality through regular reviews, inspections, and audits.

Ensure the project complies with all relevant building codes, safety standards, and statutory regulations, particularly those related to data center operations. Coordinate with all project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure smooth project execution. Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project progress, financials, risks, and any issues that arise. Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the project lifecycle to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve outcomes.

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate must have a minimum 12 years of experience in construction management. Proven expertise in data centre projects is preferred. Strong client management skills are essential. Extensive experience in cost control, scheduling, construction oversight, quality assurance, and risk management is required.

In-depth knowledge of statutory code compliance is mandatory. Solid understanding of design and construction processes. Strong stakeholder management capabilities. Demonstrated success in coordinating and managing large-scale projects.
