Job Description

The responsibilities of the MEPF Design Manager include but are not limited to:

Providing MEPF leadership to the team for a high-tech project. Managing all aspects with client, consultant, subcontractors & internal engineering, and design departments. Developing, managing, monitoring, and leading the entire MEPF Design process for the project.

Managing a team of differing levels and ability. Reporting on cost, program, quality & performance related to the MEPF Design aspect and submitting it to the Project Director.

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering, preferably from a mechanical engineering background with experience in fire and hydraulic. Must have at least 8 years’ experience in A&A and construction works of a high-tech project, such as data centres.

The candidate must have a thorough understanding of Malaysia codes, building codes and guidelines, and best practices. Must have local experience in fast-track projects, preferably with a project management consultant. Needs to have comprehensive understanding of technical interface for and applicable to large-scale construction, design, programme, and budget control.

The candidate must have these skills:

Risk management and mitigation. Stakeholder management. Project implementation plans management. Liaison with international teams. English and Malay communication skills. This role will require excellent design, organization, and team management skills.
