Job Description

With the Operations Manager’s supervision, the role will be to take leadership in the company’s projects on site. Supervise engineers and/or technicians in the entire execution of the project. Coordinate projects – create project plans and schedules, review changes, and perform administration tasks, ensuring all the projects follow the budget.

Project Manage the assigned projects and ensure compliance with QMS rules, safety and project timeline and upholding the company’s reputation. Fully responsible for the successful management of the Projects on site working with all Electrical aspects of work.  Including installation of transformers and substations. Work with the Operations Manager during the pre-bidding stages, including studying the bidding documents carefully to identify all relevant commercial and technical specifications and risks.

During the Contract Stage and with the instruction of the Manager, take part in the contract negotiation with the customers whilst preserving the company’s interest. Prepare and follow up on the budgeting and planning of the projects assigned. Prepare all documents, including but not limited to design and calculation, for submission and approval. Oversee the Electrical activities done by the site electrical technical team to ensure the quality of the project is properly maintained. Maintain good relationship with the client during the entire project cycle.

Will take management responsibilities to the site team. Coordinate with the engineers, architects, subcontractors, and other relevant project team members and keep track of the progress of the construction.

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Must have good spoken and written skills in English to be able to communicate, coordinate, and liaise with the project team, subcontractors, and clients.  The candidate must have more than 5 years’ project management experience in solar projects and have experience internationally of managing projects and project teams. Must be able to work under pressure and in a time-driven environment.
