Job Description

The Delay Analyst will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Reporting to the Planning/Commercial Director, utilizing the resources of QS/Planner from the existing pool. Assisting in dispute resolution and claims planning matters. Conducting detailed analysis, quantify delays and damages, and formulate economic models and strategies. Developing master and construction schedules, ensuring consistency with works package contractors.

Demonstrating entitlement to EoT, producing rate and work cycle analysis, and drafting claim and negotiation strategies. Defining notification requirements for EoT under the contract and establishing a standardized compliance system. Prepare defenses and retrospective analysis for counterclaims, EOTs, prolongation costs, and delay analysis critiques.

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or in a related discipline. They should possess at least 5 years’ experience in construction or engineering. Eligibility to work in Australia is essential.

The candidate preferably has rail experience and is familiar with the Melbourne and Sydney construction markets, as well as subcontractors. Proficiency in standard forms of contract and excellent attention to detail, coupled with effective communication skills, are vital for this role.

Must demonstrate proven experience and advanced proficiency in utilizing P6 and MS Project. They should be adept in program statusing and audits, along with critical path analysis. Experience in major construction and engineering projects is essential. Additionally, candidates must have skills in project schedule development, aligned with the appropriate delivery methodology.
