Job Description

The Contracts Manager’s key role will be to oversee and manage the contractual aspects of the projects.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts, subcontracts, and other legal agreements, and ensuring that all parties involved understand and adhere to the terms and conditions of the contracts. Assessing and mitigating risks associated with the contracts, including identifying potential disputes, delays, or cost overruns, and developing strategies to address these issues.

Ensuring that the project complies with all relevant laws and regulations. Taking care of change orders that may be required due to design changes, unexpected site conditions, or other factors. Assessing the impact of these changes on the project’s timeline and budget. When disputes or claims arise between parties, handle negotiations and resolution processes. Work closely with project managers and estimators to ensure that the project stays within budget.

Track costs, approve payments, and manage financial aspects related to the contracts. Liaise with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, subcontractors, and legal teams, to keep everyone informed and aligned on contractual matters. Maintain accurate records of all contract-related documents, correspondence.

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate must have a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent and preferably have charter membership. Needs to have a minimum of 10 years’ experience working in cost/contracts management, including at least 2 years in the Gulf region.

The candidate will ideally come from a contractor background and preferably have experience in marine, renewable energy, or infrastructure. Must have experience managing client relationships and have excellent communication skills.
