Our Client is an international Claims Consultant that provides construction contract consultancy services to the construction engineering, power, process, petrochemical and oil and gas industries worldwide dealing specifically with the many disputes and varied problems which frequently arise.
Job Description
The Claims Manager will be responsible for:
Handling the review, management and settlement of dispute resolution, claims, and negotiations on the contract change. Investigating issues related to the technical construction. Handling the review and response to claims following the contract conditions and ensuring the interest of the clients is protected. Properly administrating current contracts, making sure everything complies with the contract.
Examining and assessing any contractual risks and recommend appropriate solutions. Building a correspondence, and keeping and maintaining records that are necessary to guarantee effective administration of all matters pertaining to the contract. Keeping constant communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors. Giving support to the company on its business development and any promotional events.
Education and Experience
The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or equivalent. Will preferably have RICS, CIArb or any equivalent professional qualification. Will be an advantage to have experience in arbitration/adjudication or litigation. Must have proven track record of claims preparation or claims defense for consultants, contractors, subcontractors, or developers. Will have broad understanding or knowledge of case law precedent, contract law, and other relevant industry practice such as PAM, FIDIC, and others. Will have exceptional written and spoken English communication skills.
