Job Description

The Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in supporting cost management and contract administration for hydropower and renewable projects. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role will involve preparing cost estimates, managing budgets, and ensuring the financial efficiency of the projects.

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing cost control, evaluating project costs, managing tender submissions, and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities include conducting regular cost analyses and reporting on cost variations, preparing accurate bill of quantities (BoQs), and collaborating with the project team to ensure compliance with contract requirements. This role will also involve actively supporting risk assessments, advising on potential cost-saving strategies, and ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented across project stages.

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the construction or renewable energy sectors. Experience in hydropower projects is highly regarded, as well as expertise in cost control and contract management.

A Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required, with strong proficiency in relevant software tools for cost estimation and budgeting. The role demands excellent analytical and negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team environment.
