Job Description

The Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Provide oversight and strategic guidance on projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and industry standards. Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs, offering tailored solutions that address both engineering challenges and commercial goals. Analyze project specifications and requirements, assessing risks and opportunities from a financial and engineering standpoint.

Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement effective strategies, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Foster strong relationships with clients, acting as a primary point of contact for project updates, challenges, and milestones. Contribute to the continuous improvement of project processes and methodologies, promoting best practices across the consultancy.

The role and scope of work will be wide ranging and cover client side, PMC work on data centres and high technical manufacturing within the Malaysian market and will be based in Kuala Lumpur.

Education and Experience

The ideal candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related field, or have experience in a similar role. Proven experience in project management within high-rise building construction, semiconductor projects, data centers, or renewable energy sectors.

Must have strong understanding of commercial and financial aspects of engineering projects. Previous experience working directly with clients or within a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) environment.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a keen ability to analyze and address challenges from multiple perspectives.
